The Sniffles Ointment

If the sniffles and chest congestion have you down, rub some of this ointment on your chest and under your nose.

1/2 oz. Eucalyptus Oil
1/2 oz. Rosemary Oil
1/2 oz. Peppermint Oil
2 oz Hard Paraffin Wax
2 oz Soft Paraffin Wax

Melt together and stir while it's cooling. Store in an airtight container away from heat.

Eye Strain Infusion

Work too much on the computer? Like to read but after awhile it hurts to do so? Try this eye strain infusion!

Need: 1 Amazonite, Spring or Distilled Water (tap water will work in a pinch), 2 Bowls (one has to be glass).

Place the Amazonite into the Glass Bowl.

Fill the 2nd Bowl with Water.

Put the Glass Bowl into the 2nd Bowl.

Place both Bowls in the Sunlight/Moonlight for 24 hours.

Splash your tired eyes with the Amazonite infusion.

Gypsy Aid for Rheumatism

To help ease the comforts of rheumatism:

Boil 1 ounce of Dandelion Root in 1 1/2 pints of Spring Water for 20 minutes. Strain. Drink a wine glass full twice daily.

Tooth Ache Sachet

1. Get a red or blue sachet or drawstring bag. If neither can be found use a cloth and then the same colored thread.

2. Place inside of the sachet: one iron nail, two hazelnuts and three pinches of lavender or rosemary.

3. Carry the sachet with you to relieve the tooth ache & dental pain.

Supplies: Dried Ladies' Slipper Root (or the equivalent flower essence), Spring Water, Strainer, Wineglass, Bottle or Container.

Preparation (herb): Boil one ounce of Ladies Slipper Root in a pint of spring water for 10 minutes. Strain and bottle the infused water.

Preparation (flower essence): Place 12 drops of Ladies Slipper Root in a pint of spring water and bottle the infused water.

Dose: Drink a wineglass when the headaches come on - and/or you can use this as a sleep-inducer for a good night's rest.

On a charcoal block burn together:

2 pinches frankincense

Ruby Water

Have a cold? Or do you suffer from anemia, circulatory deficiencies, low blood pressure, infertility or stupidity?

Need: 1 Ruby (polished or raw), spring water, 1 small glass bowl or cup, 1 large glass bowl, plastic wrap.

1. Place the ruby in the small glass bowl.
2. Pour spring water into the large glass bowl.
3. Place the small bowl w/ruby into the water.
4. Cover the large glass bowl with the plastic wrap.

Put the bowls/water onto a windowsill for 24 hours so that it gets both the sunlight and then the moonlight.

The next day, take off the plastic wrap, remove the small glass bowl w/ruby and drink the infused water. What water you do not use you can store in the refrigerator for later use.
