It is a tool that concentrates, stores and then manipulates the electric and magnetic fluids of the universal life force.

There are 3 types of condensers: solid, liquid and aerial. Solid condensers are made of resins and metals. Liquid condensers are tinctures, oils, lacquers, and extracts from plant resins. Aerial ones are fumigations, flavors, selling waters and evaporations. 

When correctly made and stored, fluid condensers can hold their powers for a long time, sometimes even for eternity. 

They are used in rituals and are manipulated with magic through imagination and will to affect other things.

A nonphysical entity created by thought that exists on the mental/astral plane and can be transferred to the physical plane.

Thought-form entities can be created and summoned through evocation to carry out spells or provoke a psychic attack and/or provide protection. 

Thought-forms are invisible to most people but can be seen clairvoyantly. 

They are classified into three types: 1) the image of the thinker, 2) an image of a material object associated with the thought, 3) an image or symbol that expresses the inherent qualities if the thought.

To attract a particular deity or spirit, the invocation must address their powers, virtues, and attributes and offer the right praise.

In Alchemy, the figure of a merged man and woman symbolizes the marriage of opposites.

In Latin it is known as, rebis, meaning "double thing". 

In Greek mythology, it's an androgyne (man and woman) that was born to Hermes and Aphrodite. 

Alchemy says that it is the product of the union of the king and the queen, representing Sulphur and Mercury who merge in a Bath.

The Hermaphrodite is the culmination of the Philosopher's Stone.

The Hermaphrodite combines all the characteristics of the opposites, spirit and matter, soul and body, masculine and feminine. It's whole and perfect, complete undo itself and able to reproduce itself.

It is the "one in all" and the "all in one".

There are two types of necromancy: raising a corpse itself to life, and summoning the spirit of the corpse. The second type is more common. 

The ritual normally takes place in a graveyard over the corpse itself. Recently deceased corpses are preferred as it is said that they speak most clearly.

A magical hen that can find gold and treasure according to a ritual detailed in the 1740, The Black Pullet.

You can hatch a magical hen by placing aromatic wood in a chafing dish mixed with oil and incense. Pour the mixture into a golden egg container and cover it with a black cushion. Place a chicken egg on the black cushion and cover it with a bell glass made of faceted rock crystal. 

After saying an indication, leave the group of items in the sun and the egg will disappear leaving a black pullet in its place.

The pullet can be commanded to search out hidden gold and other treasures.

A caduceus is a wand intertwined by two snakes and topped by wings or a winged helmet.  The T-shape of the caduceus is formed after the tau cross which is a T-shaped cross used in ancient Egyptian and Mithraic secret initiations. 

The caduceus is strongly associated with the Greek messenger God of magic - Hermes. 

It is also a symbol of the Philosopher's Stone in Alchemy.

According to Scottish magical lore, a frith is an important spell for seeing someone's situation at a distance. 

Based on lore, the spell could only be performed by a Frithear on the 1st Monday of the quarter before sunrise.  

The Frithear would fast the previous day. Before sunrise, he would walk around the house sunwise, in his bare feet, with closed eyes until he reached the doorstep.

He would then make a circle with this thumb and forefinger and look through it. The 1st thing he would see would be an omen, which was interpreted. 2nd he would look for a sacred symbol such as two crossed straws which would tell him that all was well or maybe a man standing which was a sign of recovery. A woman standing was considered a bad sign.

Larvae are usually negative in nature and are developed by a person's preoccupation or obsession with a particular person, passion or habit. A person's thoughts and emotional energies feed a larva and enable it to survive and thrive. 

The outer layer or shell of the larva depends on its created characteristics. It has enough brain power to self-preserve - and is vampiric in nature, feeding off its human source AKA its creator. Larvae's gain strength over time and can be dissolved by magic - although it is difficult to do depending on how long the larva has been in existence.

A supernatural or magical power to cause great harm with a glance or a lingering look.  Records of the evil eye date back to 3000 B.C.E and every culture & social class has believed in it. 

Some are gifted (so to speak) with the power of the evil eye. A glance from them about anything will send negativity your way. Deliberate evil eye (from one not born with it) are usually from those who practice magic such as witches, shamans or sorcerers.

The evil eye usually strikes when someone is at the top of their game - when they are at the peak of happiness and prosperity. Women, children and animals are more susceptible to the powers of an evil eye then men. 

Wear or carry a turquoise, black tourmaline or brown agate for protection. You can also wear a chili pepper if it is shaped like a horn or a man's genitals. 

Another nullification/protection method is to spit at the person who just cast the evil eye. This method stops the evil eye in its tracks

Vampires and restless spirits can be prevented from walking with the living if there are dead bodies buried at the crossroads.

Familiars have an advantage to be able to go places and do things that humans cannot, but animals can. Many times familiars are sent on magical errands to deliver bewitchments. 

Most familiars are cats - but can also be dogs, rabbits, mice and squirrels.

 

homunculus

An homunculus is a non-human "human" created by magic. It follows the wishes of its creator - no matter what it is told to do. 

One is created by using a poppet made from clay or wax - and performing a ritual to form an astral thought to transform into a homunculus.  They are given physical features and the ability to speak.

They have a temporary life span. But they can be dangerous if the thought that created them turns into an obsession. This causes it to spin out of control and may not cease to exist when ordered to do so.
